Tata’s Pixel

Tata motors unveiled the European version of nano named Pixel, in the Geneva auto show. The four seater Pixel is built on the nano platform with 1200cc 3 cylinder turbo diesel engine. Pixel has only two doors and the entire functions of the car can be controlled by mobile phone or iPod with the aid of a unique feature called Tata connect. The major attractions in Pixel are the least emission level and easy parking experience. Tata motors also introduced the electric model of indica vista, manza, arya etc in Geneva. Tata motors were the only Indian company to show up in the Geneva auto show.

Bye-Bye-Ikon

Ford India decided to stop the manufacturing of its one time popular model ikon, due to poor performance in the markets recently. Ikon was introduced in 1999 November, which had become a sensational model competing with maruti esteem and Hyundai accent. It was offered in petrol and diesel variants, the diesel variant was reintroduced in 2005 with 1.4 litter TDCI engine used in fiesta. Company explained the reasons behind the decision is to make arrangements in the plant for manufacturing new models also the withdrawal of the car from 13 major cities under the Euro emission law in last april was also a major factor.

Victory Is Coming To India ......

American cruiser bike manufacturer Victory motorcycles announced their entry in India in the 2012 Delhi auto expo. It will be a challenge to their opponent Harly Davidson who had just made their appearance in India, establishing a plant in Hyderabad.
